Flexographic Printed Labels Are Everywhere!
From the label on your plastic lotion bottle to the wrapper on your dog’s treats, chances are you’re looking at flexographic printing.

Flexography
often called "flexo"—is one of the most versatile and widely used printing methods in the world. It’s used to print on a huge range of materials, and it’s perfect for everything from wine to food labels.

So, how does it work?
It all starts with your artwork. Our Art Team takes your design and engineers it to match the exact specifications of your label. From there, we create flexible printing plates—like high-precision stamps—for each colour in your artwork. These plates are mounted on a flexographic printing press. Thanks to its rolling, continuous-feed design, the press can handle large rolls of label material (called substrate). As the substrate moves through the machine, your labels are printed and then die cut—all in one smooth process.

Why flexo?
The beauty of flexographic printing lies in its speed and efficiency. It’s made for long runs, produces high-quality prints, and keeps everything aligned with impressive accuracy. That’s why it’s the go-to method for printing millions of labels every day.

Embossing is a special printing technique where a design—like your logo, text, or artwork—is raised up from the surface of the label. It creates a three-dimensional effect that you can both see and feel. This raised design adds a touch of luxury and professionalism, helping your product stand out on the shelf. It’s often used for brand names, logos, or decorative elements to make them pop—literally!Embossing works especially well with thick, high-quality label materials and can be combined with foil stamping or spot varnish for an even more eye-catching finish.
Hot stamp foil (also called foil stamping) is a printing technique where a thin layer of metallic or pigmented foil is applied to the label using heat and pressure. The result is a shiny, eye-catching design that stands out—literally and visually.Common foil colours include gold, silver, rose gold, copper, and even holographic or custom shades. It’s perfect for highlighting logos, text, borders, or accents that need a touch of elegance, luxury, or bold contrast.Foil stamping can be combined with embossing to create a raised, shiny effect that really makes your label feel high-end.
Debossing is a printing technique where a design—like your logo, text, or pattern—is pressed into the surface of the label, creating a sunken or indented effect. It adds texture and a tactile quality that you can actually feel when you run your fingers over it.Unlike embossing, which raises the design above the surface, debossing pushes it inward. It gives your label a premium, elegant look—perfect for brands that want to stand out with subtle sophistication.Debossing works beautifully on thicker label materials like textured paper.
VARNISH – HIGHBUILD
Screen printed tactile varnish is a special clear coating that's applied to specific areas of your label to create a raised, textured feel. It’s done using screen printing, which allows for thicker layers of varnish than traditional printing methods. This technique is perfect for adding dimension and grip to elements like logos, patterns, or text. Not only does it look great, but it also enhances the touch experience, making your label feel more premium and engaging. It’s a popular choice for high-end packaging, like wine bottles, cosmetics, or specialty food products—anywhere you want your label to stand out visually and physically.
